How an Episode of oyPod is Made

  1. I write a script. Basically this is a bunch of bulleted paragraphs typed up in Microsoft Word. The information comes from various websites, such as Jerusalem Post and Aish. The "script" is then printed out.

  2. I open up my recording program called Audacity. Reading my script, I record the episode. I add music at various points.

  3. I export the stuff I've recorded on Audacity as an MP3 file.

  4. I upload the MP3 file to Uth TV.

  5. I create a new post on the oyPod blog on Blogger. This post contains the link to the MP3 file as well as what is happening in that episode.

  6. I go to FeedBurner and "ping" the OyPod feed.

  7. The new episode is now spreading across the internet. In a few moments the new post will appear on oyPod's website. The new episode will also be available on sites like Odeo and Yahoo! Podcasts. At some point new episodes will also appear on iTunes and if you are a subscriber, it will automatically download into your computer.
