Segments

Here's a list of the different segments on the show:

News Reel - Several news stories about what is happening in the Jewish world and Israel. Originally, news stories were scattered throughout each episode. Starting with episode 21, more and shorter stories were put together as one segment.

Street Talk - A Hebrew word or phrase that is used as slang in Israel. This segment was known as Let's Talk Slang until episode 21. Click here to play the Slang game with phrases from episodes 1 through 13. Most phrases are provided by Haaretz Underground.

Inside Israel - An in-depth look at an aspect of Israeli culture, such as food, music, and clothing. This segment was known as Israel in Depth until episode 22.

Rocking Towards Change - A countdown of "change making" songs, based off a list from JVibe Magazine. One song was played on each episode between episodes 2 and 10.

Ask Bernie - Advice from a mysterious man with a bad Long Island accent. The person who plays Bernie on the show has not yet been credited. Click here for more information on how to send Bernie a question.

Chai5 - A way to give someone a shoutout for any reason whatsoever. Click here to learn how to send someone a Chai5.

The Kvetch - A way to complain on the show about absolutely anything. Click here to learn how to share a kvetch.

Schmoozing with... - Interview with a music artist, author, web master, etc. It first began as "Interview with a Rabbi" and then evolved. All "schmoozes" are conducted either with Skype or Gizmo Project and a voIP recorder. For schmoozes with musicians, two of the artist's songs are always played before and after the schmooze.
