Bentch'n and Kvetch'n
Bentch - literally means “to bless”, can be used
a variety of ways – most commonly to denote the long blessings to be
recited after eating bread. Can also refer to what G-d decides to
bless us with, or how some Jews traditionally bless their children
every Friday night. Also one person can always bentch another.
Kvetch - (verb) to complain; (noun) a complaining person Source: Jewish Blog Definitions For hundreds of years the Jews have been known to bentch and kvetch (praise and complain). Why stop the tradition now? If there's anything—absolutely anything—you want to bentch and kvetch about, oyPod wants to hear it! Rant as much as you want about absolutely anything you like or hate in the world. If you really love apples, then send a bentch about your apple fetish. Or if you really hate apples, send a kvetch about how much you think the world needs to be filled of less apples. Type your rants in an e-mail and they'll be read on the show. Or, if you want to express your true emotions, attach an audio file (preferably MP3 or WAV) of what you want to say. Send your praises and complaints to
oypod@comcast.net.
