Segments Here's a list of the different segments, past and present, on the show: News Reel - Several news stories about what is happening in the Jewish world and Israel. Originally, news stories were scattered throughout each episode. Starting with episode 21, more stories were put together as one segment. Street Talk - A Hebrew word or phrase that is used as slang in Israel. This segment was known as Let's Talk Slang until episode 21. Click here to play the Slang game with phrases from episodes 1 through 13. Most phrases are provided by Haaretz Underground. Inside Israel - An in-depth look at an aspect of Israeli culture, such as food, music, and clothing. This segment was known as Israel in Depth until episode 22. Law vs. Life - A modern day subject is looked at and compared to Jewish law. Rocking Towards Change - A countdown of "change making" songs, based off a list from JVibe Magazine. One song was played on each episode between episodes 2 and 10. Ask Bernie - Advice from a mysterious man with a bad Long Island accent. Bentch'n and Kvetch'n - A way to praise or complain on the show about absolutely anything. Click here to learn how to share a kvetch. This segment began on episode 24. Jew or Non-Jew - Guess if a certain well-known person is Jewish or not. People who have been included are Gwen Stefani, Beck, and Christopher Columbus. This segment began on episode 21. Schmoozing with... - Interview with a music artist, author, web master, etc. It first began as "Interview with a Rabbi" and then evolved. All "schmoozes" are conducted either with Skype and HotRecorder. For schmoozes with musicians, two of the artist's songs are always played before and after the schmooze. Click here if you are interested in schmoozing. Discussion - A discussion between four to eight people about a certain given issue. This is conducted via conference call.
